Highlights

  • This morning, we read the final book in the Journey series, Return! Ask me to tell you what happened. 
  • We played Guardian's of the Castle again today in P.E. Ask me to tell you how it went. 
  • For Literacy, finished our writing our stories. We also talked about a project we will be starting tomorrow. Ask me what it is and what text features I want to include. 
  • This afternoon, we made spring art. Ask me what we made and what materials we used. 


  • In Math, we practiced our fast facts. Ask me what skill I worked on and how many questions I finished!

  • Our wet felting in class field trip is tomorrow!
  • Library books are due back this week. Please return them as soon as possible!

   Highlights

  • This morning, we read a bit of our class novel. Ask me what happened. 
  • We had P.E. outside today.  Ask me what game we played!
  • We worked on some finish up this morning. Ask me what I worked on. 
  • This afternoon, we wrote our last free choice story of the year. Ask me what I chose to write about!
  • During Social Studies, we learned about volunteering. Ask me to tell you what it means and to give you some examples.

  Highlights

  • This morning, we finished learning about how Indigenous people interact with the land and animals in different seasons. Ask me to tell you about the autumn and winter seasons. 
  • In Music, we got to watch the Nose Creek band performance. Ask me to tell you about the difference songs. 
  • After our Grade three recess, we did an art appreciation activity where we got to explore art from the Canadian artist Rob Gonsalves. Ask me to tell you what makes his art special and about my favourite art piece.

  • Our wet felting in class field trip is next week on Wednesday!
  • Library books are due back next week. Please return them as soon as possible!

 Highlights

  • This morning, we read some of our novel, The One and Only Ivan. Ask me what happened!
  • We played Boom City again during P.E. Ask me how it went!

  • In Math, we reviewed money by playing Blooket and then practiced solving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division algebra equations with symbols. Ask me to tell you about how it went. 


  • During Literacy, we used the iPads to research two animals and created a "Who Would Win" page based on the books. Ask me what animals I chose and who would win the battle. 

  • In Science, we talked about the different things Indigenous people did in summer. Ask me to tell you about the different things that they did.

  • This morning, we read some of our novel, The One and Only Ivan. Ask me what happened!
  • We played Boom City during P.E. Ask me how to play!
  • In Math, we practiced solving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division algebra equations. Ask me to show you how to solve the questions below!


  • During Literacy, we wrote about Ivan's live and how it changed throughout his life. Ask me to tell you about his life while he lived in Africa vs. with Mack. 
  • In Science, we talked about the different things Indigenous people did in spring. Ask me to tell you about the different things that they did. Tomorrow we will be writing our ideas down and adding them to our journals.

  • In Math, we did a SWYK for measurement. Ask me how I feel about it. 
  • During Literacy, we reviewed nonfiction text features and finished our feature hunt. Ask me to show you some text features in a nonfiction text at home!



  • We have some new reading rotations! Ask me to tell you about them.  
  • For Social Studies, we talked about actions that can improve quality of life for ourselves, others, and our community. Ask me to tell you about some actions that can make a difference. 


Reminders:
  • The weather is supposed to be rainy for the next few days. Please bring proper clothing as we will be going outside for the rest of the week.

   Highlights

  • This morning, we worked on finishing up our science and Social Studies work.
  • We did art project about the food chain. Ask me to show you.
  • Some of us had our Alex Manroe presentation today. Ask me how the presentation went. 
  • In Math, we did a quick angles check in and then work on converting measurements. Ask me to show you how to do it below. 
  • During Literacy, we did a nonfiction text feature hunt. Ask me what a text feature is and how it helps me while reading nonfiction books. 

  • In Science, we started learning about Indigenous connections with animals and the land that they live on. Ask me to tell you about some of their food sources. 
  • For Social Studies, we learned about quality of life. Ask me to tell you ways you can feel safe, healthy, and happy.
