  Highlights

  • This morning, we read The One and Only Ivan. Ask me what happened in the chapters we read. 
  • We did our volleyball stations in P.E. Ask me how it went! 
  • For Literacy, we practiced using proper punctuation for dialogue. Ask me to fix the sentences below. We then, read a book called Journey. Ask me what made this book special. 

  • In Math, we practiced measuring different lines and objects in cm, mm, and in.  Ask me to tell you about the activity!
  • During Science, we learned some different ways we can protect the wildlife in our local environments. Ask me to tell you some of the ways. We will write a paragraph about this tomorrow!

  • We are still collecting food donations for the NLS food drive. If you have anything you would like to donate, you can bring it to school before May 15.

Superhero Family Dance Night – May 14 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm 

Get ready for an action‑packed evening of fun! We’re excited to invite all students and their families to our Superhero Themed Family Dance. Capes, masks, and heroic smiles are welcome! See the flier that was sent home for how to buy tickets or click HERE.

  • 📸 Superhero Photo Booth – Strike your best hero pose and capture the moment! 
  • 🎶 DJ Dance Party – Our DJ will keep the music going. 
  • 🎯 Games & Activities – Run by the amazing North Trail High School Leadership Students, ready to make the night unforgettable. 
  • 🍿 Snack Shack – Hungry heroes can refuel! Families can pre‑purchase snack coupons to use at the Snack Shack for tasty food items.

Come dressed as your favourite superhero (or create your own!). Family‑friendly costumes encouraged.

 Highlights

  • We started practicing our volleyball skills in P.E. Ask me about the two stations and the skills it helped me practice. 
  • For Literacy, we had a "book tasting" to sample different genres. Ask me about my favourite genre and what one I want to explore more. 




  • In Math, we talked about using the appropriate unit of measurement for different objects. Ask me what unit I would use to measure the things below.  




  • For Social Studies, we did a check in. Ask me to tell you who is the leader of a provincial government and what they are in charge of.

Highlights

  • This morning, we learned about the different units of measurement in the metric system. Ask me about the different things that can be measured using millimetres, centimetres, and metres. 
  • We had Music today! Ask me what we did!
  • We had some time to work on finish up today. Ask me how much finish up I have to do. 
  • For Literacy, we got to share our circle stories with Mrs. Schu's class. Ask me to tell you about the different stories.


  • This afternoon, we did our Grade 3 maker switch. Ask me what station I went to today.

  • This morning, we talked about why it is important to eat from different food groups. Ask me to tell you one thing I remember about each food group. 
  • In Music, we did music madness and then played songs with the Boomwhackers. Ask me what songs we did. 
  • For Literacy, we learned how to use dialogue. Ask me how to fix the sentences below!
  • In Math, we did our time SWYK. We still need more practice with "past" and "to" times. Lets practice at home.
    • This afternoon, we worked on a special project again. Stayed tuned to learn what it is!

    • This morning, we read our novel, The One and Only Ivan, and drew a picture of his "domain" in our visual journals. Ask me to tell you about his domain and what I visualized. 
    • We had our music sharing today in Music. Ask me if I shared anything. 
    • In Math, we played a game to help us practice our 24-hour times and "past"/"to" times. Ask me to tell you about the game and practice with you at home!

    • For Literacy, we used the picture below to write a story. Ask me to tell you about my story.
