Highlights

  • This morning, we read our class novel. Ask me what happened!
  • We had our first day of gymnastics today in P.E. Ask me what skills we worked on.
  • In Literacy, we finished writing the first copy of our Diary of an ____ book. In the afternoon, we used the computers to start making the online version! Ask me to tell you what I added so far.
  • During Math, we used measuring tapes to see how close our estimates were when we used our referents. Ask me to tell you about my estimates versus the actual measurements.

     Highlights

  • This morning, we read some of our novel and had a cultural walk in the upstairs hallway! Ask me if I participated in the walk and to tell you about the different outfits I saw. 
  • We continued to play volleyball games in P.E. Ask me how it went!
  • During Math, we started an end of year number check-in. This includes all the skills that we have been practicing throughout the year. Stay tuned to find out more! 
  • We finished our research plant or animal today and are ready to turn it into writing! Ask me what learned.
  • In Science, we looked at a nature picture and talked about how it relates to our learning in living systems. Ask me to tell you about it.

   Highlights

  • This morning, we created a visual journal page of the different ways we like to eat our food and how our favourite food changes as it is prepared. Ask me to tell you how my favourite food changes in colour, texture, appearance, and taste as it is prepared. 
  • We played 9-Square to practice our volleyball skills! Ask me to tell you about it. 
  • For Literacy, we practiced making inferences and predictions while reading the book Flotsam. Ask me what inferences and predictions I made!
  • In Math, we continued to practice calculating the perimeter of different polygons. Ask me to show you how to calculate the perimeter for the shapes below. 




  • This afternoon, we learned about the Moose Hide Campaign. Ask me about the moose hide as a medicine.

  • For Literacy, we practiced using proper punctuation for dialogue. Ask me to fix the sentences below. We then, read a book called Journey. Ask me what made this book special. 

  • In Math, we practiced measuring different lines and objects in cm, mm, and in.  Ask me to tell you about the activity!
  • During Science, we learned some different ways we can protect the wildlife in our local environments. Ask me to tell you some of the ways. We will write a paragraph about this tomorrow!
