Highlights

• This morning, we worked on finish up and were reminded about Grade 3 expectations. Ask me to tell you about them. 
• We had Music today. Ask me what we did!
• During Math, we talked about using benchmarks and referents to estimate measurements. Ask me to estimate the size of the objects below!

• This morning, we finished labeling our nature picture in Science. Ask me about my sentence labels. 

• We did Freedom Frenzy in P.E. Ask me about the different activities we could do after Gagaball. 
• During Math, we finished our end of year number check-in. Ask me how I feel about it. We also started learning about algebra. Ask me to tell you about the = sign!
• We made impermanent art durning Field Study. Ask me to tell you about my art.

     Highlights

• This morning, we read some of our novel and had a cultural walk in the upstairs hallway! Ask me if I participated in the walk and to tell you about the different outfits I saw. 
• We continued to play volleyball games in P.E. Ask me how it went!
• During Math, we started an end of year number check-in. This includes all the skills that we have been practicing throughout the year. Stay tuned to find out more! 
• We finished our research plant or animal today and are ready to turn it into writing! Ask me what learned.

• In Science, we looked at a nature picture and talked about how it relates to our learning in living systems. Ask me to tell you about it.

    Highlights

• This morning in Health, we learned about the importance of staying hydrated. Ask me when I may need to drink extra water. 
• We played volleyball games in P.E. Ask me how it went!
• During Math, we learned how to find the missing side when calculating perimeter. Ask me how to find the missing sides below. 

• For Literacy, we read an article about The Great Pacific Garbage Patch and we are working on summarizing it in a paragraph. Ask me to tell you about the article and what I plan to include in my writing. 
• In Science, we are starting a book project about an animal or plant. Ask me what plant or animal I want to research!

   Highlights

• This morning, we created a visual journal page of the different ways we like to eat our food and how our favourite food changes as it is prepared. Ask me to tell you how my favourite food changes in colour, texture, appearance, and taste as it is prepared. 
• We played 9-Square to practice our volleyball skills! Ask me to tell you about it. 
• For Literacy, we practiced making inferences and predictions while reading the book Flotsam. Ask me what inferences and predictions I made!

• In Math, we continued to practice calculating the perimeter of different polygons. Ask me to show you how to calculate the perimeter for the shapes below. 

• This afternoon, we learned about the Moose Hide Campaign. Ask me about the moose hide as a medicine.

• This morning, we read The One and Only Ivan. Ask me what happened in the chapters we read. 
• We did our volleyball stations in P.E. Ask me how it went! 
• For Literacy, we practiced using proper punctuation for dialogue. Ask me to fix the sentences below. We then, read a book called Journey. Ask me what made this book special. 

• In Math, we practiced measuring different lines and objects in cm, mm, and in.  Ask me to tell you about the activity!

• During Science, we learned some different ways we can protect the wildlife in our local environments. Ask me to tell you some of the ways. We will write a paragraph about this tomorrow!

• For Literacy, we had a "book tasting" to sample different genres. Ask me about my favourite genre and what one I want to explore more. 

• In Math, we talked about using the appropriate unit of measurement for different objects. Ask me what unit I would use to measure the things below.  

• For Social Studies, we did a check in. Ask me to tell you who is the leader of a provincial government and what they are in charge of.

• This morning, we learned about the different units of measurement in the metric system. Ask me about the different things that can be measured using millimetres, centimetres, and metres.

• We had some time to work on finish up today. Ask me how much finish up I have to do. 
• For Literacy, we got to share our circle stories with Mrs. Schu's class. Ask me to tell you about the different stories.

• This afternoon, we did our Grade 3 maker switch. Ask me what station I went to today.

• This morning, we talked about why it is important to eat from different food groups. Ask me to tell you one thing I remember about each food group. 
• In Music, we did music madness and then played songs with the Boomwhackers. Ask me what songs we did. 
• For Literacy, we learned how to use dialogue. Ask me how to fix the sentences below!

• In Math, we did our time SWYK. We still need more practice with "past" and "to" times. Lets practice at home.
