     Highlights

  • This morning, we read our novel, The One and Only Ivan, and drew a picture of his "domain" in our visual journals. Ask me to tell you about his domain and what I visualized. 
  • We had our music sharing today in Music. Ask me if I shared anything. 
  • In Math, we played a game to help us practice our 24-hour times and "past"/"to" times. Ask me to tell you about the game and practice with you at home!

  • For Literacy, we used the picture below to write a story. Ask me to tell you about my story. 

  • This afternoon, we worked on a special project. Stayed tuned to learn what it is!

    Highlights

  • This morning, we worked on finish up! Ask me what I am working on.

  • For Literacy, we wrote a story using a picture of a dog detective. Ask me what I included in my story! 

  • During Social Studies, we started learning about symbols important to Alberta. Ask me to tell you about the symbols below!

   Highlights

  • This morning, we practiced a fraction number line and reviewed it as a class! Ask me to show you how to put the fractions on the number line below. 
  • We did badminton stations in P.E. to practice our skills. Ask be about the different racket skills we learned!
  • For Literacy, we started making our circle story books. Ask me what I have added so far. 
  • In Math, we practiced 24 hour times. Ask me to fill out the chart with you below. 
  • During Social Studies, we learned about provincial governments. Ask me what they are responsible for and some of the different types of leaders!

 Highlights

  • This morning, we learned about 24 time! Ask me to tell you what we learned so far. 


  • During P.E., we played follow the leader and then got time to work in our groups. After, we shared some of our routine with the class. Ask me if I shared.
  • For Literacy, we wrote our circle stories in our literacy journals. Ask me what I wrote so far. 
  • We did our fraction show what you know in Math. Ask me what I think I need more practice with.
  • This afternoon, we did our food workshop. Ask me what I learned about healthy eating and my favourite part of the experience. We got our own recipe cards. Ask me to show you it.

Highlights

  • This morning, we learned about the different types of bins in our school for Earth Day. We then played a game to practice putting different materials in their proper places. We can play the game together using the link below. 
  • In P.E., we started making our own routines in drum fit. Ask to tell you about the routine my group made.  
  • For Literacy, we read "Here We Are" and "Thank You Earth". After, we wrote a thank you letter to the Earth. Ask me what I wrote in mine. 

  • We played some fun games on Blooket to review our fraction skills in Math! Ask me to tell you about the different games and how I am feeling about fractions.


  • For Science, we finished learning about animal diets! Today, we talked about omnivores and carnivores. Ask me to tell you some facts.

  • We will be doing our Nutrition Workshop tomorrow at the end of the day. Please still bring a proper lunch and snacks.

Highlights

  • This morning, we worked on our life cycles from different regions visual journal page. Ask me if I finished!
  • During Music, we did music madness and then we learned the A minor and C cord on the Ukelele. Ask me how it went. 
  • During Literacy, we started making the plan for our circle story. Ask me what is in my plan so far!
  • In Math, we learned how to solve fraction word problems. Ask me to show you how to solve the question below. 
  • For Science, we started learning about animal diets! So far we talked about herbivores. Ask me to tell you some facts. 

Reminders:
  • Tomorrow is Earth Day. Wear blue and/or green to participate in our NLS spirit day!
  • We will be doing our Nutrition Workshop on Thursday at the end of the day. Please still bring a proper lunch and snacks.

    Highlights

  • This morning, we practiced making and reading more "past" and "to" times on a clock. Let's practice at home using an online interactive clock! We can take turns making times and reading times together. 
  • During Literacy, we reviewed story elements and then read If You Give a Moose a Muffin. This book is special because it has a circular plot. We will be making our own circle stories over the next couple of days! Ask me what I want my character to be and what event will kick off my story. 
  • We spent some time outside enjoying the weather for P.E. 
  • In Math, we used a picture to come up with as many fractions as possible and then did a Fraction Scoot. Ask me to tell you about the picture and what fractions I came up with.

  • For Science, we started creating food chains from different environments! Ask me what food chain environment I chose and the animals in it!

  • Attending the indicated designated school
  • Attending another school within the Calgary Board of Education (CBE)
  • Attending a school outside of the Calgary Board of Education

If you indicate that your child will not be attending their designated school next year, we will inform the designated school of your intentions.

Accurate enrolment information helps us plan staffing, classroom organization, and resources to best support our students. We understand that plans for the 2026–27 school year may not be finalized.    Highlights

  • This morning, we learned "past" and "to" times on a clock. Ask me to tell you what that means and to tell you the times below using "past" and "to". 


  • During Literacy, we finished up our letters and edited them with a partner. Ask me to tell you what I wrote. 

  • In Math, we created fraction art! Ask me to tell you what I made and about the different fractions in my art. 
  • We started reading our new novel "The One and Only Ivan"! Ask me what I know about Ivan so far.
  • We made our weekly goal so we learned a new game called "Beaver Tails". Ask me about our goal and what we learned about the game so far.

  Highlights

  • This morning, we created the first page for our new novel, The One and Only Ivan, in our reading journals. Ask me what I added to it! 
  • In Music, we did music madness and then practiced our ukuleles. Ask me what songs we listened to and what notes we practiced on the instrument. 
  • During Literacy, we started working on a persuasive letter to builders who wanted to build a road in a protected area. Ask me what I included in my plan!
  • In Math, we learned a new game to help us practice comparing fractions called Fraction Golf. Ask me how to play!


  • This afternoon, we worked on a special project for someone in our school! Ask me what we did today for it and what I wrote.

 Highlights:

  • This morning, we practiced making and reading times with the mini clocks. Ask me what time is on the clocks below!
  • We did our Drum Fit during P.E. Ask me about the routines that we did. 
  • During Literacy, we learned about causes and effects. We practiced matching effects to their causes and then created our own examples. Ask me about my examples. 
  • In Math, we practiced our "I Have, Who Has..." and did secret fraction codes. Ask me to show you my fraction codes!

  • We started our unit Living Systems in Science! Ask me to tell you what living systems are and what we learned today!
