Highlights:
- This morning, during Health we read a story called "The Giving Tree: A Retelling of a Traditional Métis story." While reading, we talked about reciprocity and the importance of giving back. Ask me to tell you about the story and why its important to give back to nature/our community.
- We started learning soccer skills in P.E. Ask me what skills we practiced today!
- During Literacy, we learned about "show don't tell" descriptive writing. We read a book called "Hello Ocean" to see how we can use our senses to describe a setting before using our senses to describe a picture. Ask me about the pictures and how I described them using my senses.
- In Math, we read "Welcome to the Nature Park" to explore statistics! We looked at a variety of different types of graphs throughout the story to determine if the rangers should chose a turtle or coyote to rescue. Ask me to tell you what animal I think they should choose and why based on the data.
- For Social Studies, we glued a map of Alberta into our visual journals. We will be studying the different regions over the next little while.
- We had a fire drill today! Ask me what I need to remember during fire drills.
