Highlights:
- This morning, we read the book My Mouth is a Volcano and talked about the importance of using kind words. Ask me about the activity!
- We had our first day of Music! Ask me some of the important expectations I need to remember while in the music room.
- During Literacy, we learned about choosing "just right books" and worked on our reading stamina. Ask me to show you what it looks like when I am "reading to self" and "reading to someone".
- For Math, we learned a new math warm called Which One Doesn't Belong and practiced using our math hand symbols. After our warm up, we learned two new math games. Ask me to tell you about the math games!
- This afternoon, we got to use some Maker Space materials. Ask me about the expectations and what materials I used!
- We decorated name tags for our hooks!
- During Word Work, we reviewed the short vowel sounds and some heart words. Ask me to read the words below!
Reminders:
- Please log in to your Parent Powerschool account and complete any forms that are needed such as the demographics and the consent to post on the blog.
- Green folders were sent home today with each student. Inside each folder are a parent questionnaire and a digital citizenship form. Please complete both forms and return as soon as possible.
